One of the top questions that I receive when a client books their session is "What do we wear"?

Putting together outfits for multiple people can be a daunting and stressful task, especially if you do not know where to start! There is plenty of advice out there on what not to wear for your photography session but not enough of what to wear. I will provide a few tips that will help make the process easy!

Tip # 1

Color pallets are your best friend! The beauty of color pallets is that all of the hard work has been done for you and you cant trust that whatever pallet you choose, the colors will look fantastic together.

You do not want everyone to match each other, instead you want everyone to coordinate with each other.

Tip # 2

When choosing colors for outfits your location choice should be taken into consideration. Using complimentary colors will help make your outfits pop and stand out among the background.

If your location is in the desert with lots of brown and green then your outfits should have reds, magentas or purples. If your location is the beach with lots of blues then choose outfits that have oranges, yellows and reds! The color wheel can be very beneficial for finding complimentary color choices!

Tip # 3

Adding textures to outfits makes all the difference! Small patterns are another great way to add some flare and color pop without drawing too much attention. Textures and patterns break up the solid colors and mare outfits more appealing to the eye.
